Group Work with Mindfulness Practices in Relationships

Relational Mindfulness in Groups

Group work can help us understand and illuminate the process of how we come into relationships. Group work can be a more challenging and powerful way of opening the inquiry into personal difficulties and suffering. The course of a group is to develop a contemplative, reflective and exploratory approach to the way we hold experiences of the self and the other. It will include a quiet form of sitting or meditation, experiential exercises looking at relationships with ourselves and others in the group. The programme is run over 10 weeks with groups of 6 to 8 people meeting for 1 1/2 hours every week.

If you would like to know more about establishing a meditation or mindfulness practice within a group context, please contact me. This is also a effective way of understanding the therapeutic benefits of a group practice.
